Generation Boyz Care Orphanage

Generation Boyz Care was formed to support orphans to attain or meet the basic needs of life: food, shelter, medical care, clothing, education and to teach them the word of God. The project was formed in November 2004 by the Generation Boyz, a group of local Christian artists who have committed their lives to providing for the needs of the local orphans.

LOCATION:

Generation Boyz Care is located in Magamba Village Mpigi District, about 5 miles from Mpigi Town council and about 25 miles from Kampala city.

MISSION:

To ensure that the needs of the orphans are met and that all orphans in Magamba Village and Mpigi District are raised in God fearing way.

VISION:

Reaching out to different orphan based organizations/projects all over the world and sharing ideas and knowledge necessary for helping the orphans.

OBJECTIVES:

· To extend love to orphans, thus fulfilling and obeying the Great Commandment in which we are all to love one another.

· To build homes for children who have nowhere else to go.

· To support orphans to attain education and medical care.

· To ensure physical, mental and emotional home-based health care.

· To extend counseling services to help children heal from their past sorrows and experiences,  and begin a new life focusing on God as their father.

· To set up projects for purposes of meeting the needs of orphans.

· To conduct research and consultancy services, especially in areas of education and health, all focusing on orphans, their needs and future.

· To acquire donations and grants to help support the orphans.

· To co-operate, consult and work with any person or organization with objectives similar to those of GBC.

· To raise orphans into God-fearing adults.

· To do any other work aimed at promoting the development of orphans.

 

ACTIVITIES ON PROGRAMME

¨ Activities currently being administered by Generation Boyz Care:

1. Education Outreach: Buying books, pens, pencils and geometry sets for orphans studying in various primary, secondary and vocational schools in Mpigi District, particularly in Magambe village.

2. Health Outreach: Providing available and accessible health care to orphans and paying the cost of treatment.

3. Clothes: Purchasing clothes, particularly second-hand clothes for the children

4. Spiritual Outreach: Preaching the Word of God through evangelism, counseling and relationship building.

5. Children’s Club: Sharing Christ with orphans through the Bible, stories, music and drama.

 

NEAR FUTURE PLANS

· Construct a campus at Magamba Village, 5 buildings total.

· Construct a Day and Boarding Mixed Nursery and Primary School.

· Construct  a Chapel and staff quarters.

· Purchase domestic and scholastic requirements for orphans.

· Purchase vehicles for the school.

· Employing teachers and additional staff.

· Starting a poultry farm.

 

FUTURE PLANS

· Construct a Day and Boarding Secondary School and a Vocational School

· Animal and Plant Husbandry project.

· Focus to see that all objectives have been met accordingly, and to monitor the progress of GBC.
